LETTER TO THE GOVERNMENT OF GHANA (PART ONE)

Democracy as defined by Abraham Lincoln, is that “government of the, by the people and for the people” in the year 1863. As rightfully said, governing is for the people, the stability of the economy for the people of Ghana.

It came to my noticed that, graduate from the Senior High School, wouldn’t be allowed to teach and our noble private schools.

Come to think of it, what happens to those from poor homes, who do that teaching jobs to raise money to go back to school (the universities).

What are we doing about unemployment of even the university graduates?

Cancelling those without teachers training college from teaching at the private schools, what happen to the faith of the thousands and millions from the universities who has graduated and, and there is no job at hand?

Let’s assume, yes you let private schools employed teacher trainings, how then those the schools pay them? This will then push some of the private schools from the system, thus, the closure of them.

The government must have a second thought about this and make the system soft for us to survive. We plead.

Let me use my case as an example; I am a graduate from the university, I offered BSc. Computer Science. I have skills with graphic design, website development, application development, expert with Microsoft suite and have skills with power BI.

I have applied to so many companies, but to no avail, so because of teacher training college certificate, I can’t teach the young ones and be in the house and waste my knowledge? The capital to start my own business too is not available. The money to further to pursue the teachers training certificate too is not available too is not available, so with that, what then do I do?

Even the teaching I am doing, they are paying me, Ghana cedis 400 a month which is 39.58 in American currency. Which is way below the belt, which we are even managing, and you want to it away from us?

We plead that you, you take our concerns into consideration and not always what seems right.
